Kahaani 2 : Review

How hard you try but you cannot stop yourself from comparing this one to the first one. It has the same setup, the story progresses the same way, there is a twist in the end. But just when the first one gave us a shock revealing the twist, this one failed to do so. The twist is so shallow that you see it coming from miles away. Instead, they could have made a normal thriller. I understand that people were expecting something, but that’s why they should’ve made this a standalone one without the Kahaani tag and without the twist.

I am not saying that I disliked the whole thing. The first half was a really good build up for the rest of the movie. Then, it failed to grab the attention of the audience.

Vidya was awesome as always. I also like the direction. I was disappointed to see Arjun Rampal acting as he did. It was like watching a wall, with some expression, and I am one of his fans. The soundtrack also could have been better.

I will recommend this movie, sure it was not that bad and people want to watch at least one movie in the weekend nowadays, but I will also request you to forget the tag of Kahaani before entering the hall.

I rated Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh 6/10 on IMDb.
