Have to get used to it

FRIDAY FICTIONEERS!

I cannot get used to that grave. Every time I sit on the chair in my garden, I have to look at it. It is just depressing. Many times, I thought of removing the headstone and just forgetting that someone is buried there. But, I cannot do that. Trust me, I tried but it wouldn’t move.

It’s hard to believe that life can be so fragile. One day you’re fine and the other day you fell down the stairs.

Silly me.

Anyway, I have to get used to the grave.

I have to get used to being dead.

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Liz Young. Thank you, Liz! If you like this post, you can read other posts related to this prompt right here.

  6. I think it’s quite wonderful that those who stayed behind were kind enough to bring a bench, so that she can guard her resting place.

    The resigned tone is fitting.
