He shouldn’t have…

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Roger Bultot.

“Where is she?! She is always here at this time! She never misses her brunch. Her friends are here. Something’s not right.

Is she dead?!

How long should I wait? What if she is never going to come here again! How will I talk to her now?

Ha! I’ve seen her coming here for past 2 months, I should’ve approached her by now. I guess its too late for that.”

He left his food unfinished and started to get up when she came. He decided it is time.

HE – “Hi”

SHE – “Can I help you, creepy dude?”

HE – “No, I’m sorry.”

  1. Dear Shivampt,

Poor guy. His shyness made him seem like a stalker. I felt kind of sorry for him. Nicely done.

  6. Oh! I think he might be better off without her if she just calls someone a “creepy dude” without getting to know him.

I loved this one; best I’ve read yet this week. You captured thoughts that we all have and then the ending . . . the ending that smashed all of his hopes and dreams . . . it left me with a sad smile.

  12. Evidently, she’s in a league of her own. He needs a new pick-up line.

  13. Lol. “Is she dead!?”
Because That’s the only reason why people skip brunch, right? 😀 So adorable.
It actually feels relatable to me. I lose timing to talk to people too…and end up being super awkward!
