FRIDAY FICTIONEERS

The rules are simple: Write a story, with a beginning, middle and end, in 100 words or less based on the photo prompt posted every week here. This week’s prompt is provided by Dale Roberson.


It was brighter than they thought it would be when they decided to go out. They stopped to look at the magistic scene, the moon in the clouds was looking beautiful than ever.

Priya held Rajesh’s hand and said, “I’m glad we did this.”

Rajesh was silent.

Priya looked at him and found him standing with his mouth open wide.

“Why are you starting at the moon?”

“That is not a moon.” He turned, “That is.” Priya looked at where he was pointing and found the moon.

The fake moon was now moving fast in their direction, getting bigger.
