Some Things are in Your Hands

Friday Fictioneers is a weekly challenge set by Rochelle Wisoff Fields to write a 100-word story in response to a photo prompt. You can find other stories here.

It has been a long time since I participated. I hope you like my story, although I have to say I am a little out of practice:)

“They call it, The GameChanger!”

The odd-looking instrument came to town a few days back and has been a hot issue since. The man says turning each wheel will make one of your wish come true. It’s up to you which one.

Martha said, “I want a new dishwasher. No, that’s nothing! I want my son to become serious about his life. Ha! I wish it could change my husband. No, my smoking habit!”

A man in the line heard her and yelled, “Lady, The wheel won’t help you. You need to go back home and turn your life around!”

  7. She has a lot of wishes. Sounds like the machine needs to change her. Mind you, this indecision over what’s most important to change could make that line stall frequently.
